Confidentiality is the foundation of accounting work, and this website is no exception. This policy explains, in plain English, what information this site collects, why, and what we do (and pointedly do not do) with it.
R.E.Q.M. LLC (“R.E.Q.M.,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a boutique accounting and advisory firm based in Tucson, Arizona. This policy covers information collected through our website, reqmllc.com (the “Site”). It does not cover information you share with us as an engaged client — that relationship is governed by your engagement letter and professional confidentiality standards, which are stricter still.
Information you give us. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share — typically your name, email address, phone number (optional), and a description of your situation. Our contact form is processed by Formspree, which delivers your message directly to our inbox.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site uses analytics tools — Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics — that collect standard usage data: pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, referring site, and time on page. These tools use cookies or similar technologies and provide us with aggregated statistics, not a dossier on you personally.
What we do not collect. The Site does not ask for, and you should not submit through it, Social Security numbers, bank or card details, or tax documents. If we work together, sensitive documents are exchanged through a secure client portal — never the contact form.
We use the information described above to respond to your inquiry, schedule conversations you have requested, understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it, and maintain the security of the Site. That is the entire list. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not send marketing emails to people who simply filled out the contact form.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever. We share information only with the service providers that make the Site function — Formspree (form delivery), Google Analytics and Ahrefs (site analytics), and our website hosting provider — each of which processes data under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights, though we would much rather spend that time reconciling accounts.
The analytics tools above use cookies to distinguish visitors and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, browse with tracking protection enabled, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The Site remains fully functional without cookies — the numbers just miss you, which is more than we can say for most numbers.
Contact inquiries are retained as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of our correspondence, after which they may be deleted. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, however, so please reserve truly sensitive financial details for a secure channel once an engagement begins.
The Site is intended for business owners and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
The Site occasionally links to other websites. Once you leave reqmllc.com, this policy no longer applies — review the privacy practices of any site you visit.
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@reqmllc.com and we will handle your request promptly — usually faster than a tax refund.
If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be flagged clearly rather than buried in fine print — burying important things in fine print is precisely what we exist to protect clients from.
